Overtime Calc by State

Privacy

Your hours, pay rate and income stay in your browser. We record only that pages were viewed and the calculator was used — never what you typed.

01

What the calculator does with your numbers

Every calculation runs in your browser. Your hourly rate, the hours in each day, bonuses, income and filing status are never sent to our server. When you use “Share this result,” the inputs are written into the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers; whoever you share the link with sees the same numbers, and nobody else does.

Your choice of light or dark mode is kept in your browser’s local storage. Nothing else is stored on your device, and the site sets no cookies.

02

What we log

A small first-party script sends anonymous events to our own server: a page view, that the calculator was used, which state was selected, that a result was shared or printed, and that a source link was clicked. Each event records the page path, the event name, an optional label such as a state abbreviation, a random identifier for that single page load (not stored on your device), the referring website’s domain only, your country as reported by our hosting network, and whether the screen was phone-sized. It does not record your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, cookies or any calculator input. Visits from automated tools are discarded.

If you send a correction, we store the page, the kind of problem, your message, the reply address if you give one, and the date. We do not store your IP address or browser details with it.

03

Third parties, retention and your choices

No third-party scripts, fonts, ads or trackers load on this site. Pages are served by Cloudflare, which processes connection data to deliver them under its own privacy policy; our events and corrections are stored in a database we control on the same platform. We keep event records to understand which pages and states are useful, and correction reports until they are resolved. Because none of it identifies you, there is nothing to look up or delete by name — but if you sent a correction with a reply address and want it removed, tell us through the corrections form.
